Smoked Spiced Chicken with Magic Green Sauce

This Palestinian inspired chicken is spiced with sumac, allspice, and cumin, smoked and served with Magic Green Sauce (Schug). It is probably the best chicken I’ve ever had.

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken, cut into 4 pieces

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

  • 1 teaspoon sumac

  • 1 teaspoon allspice

  • 1/2 cup olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  • 1/2 cup Schug

  • Pita bread

Instructions

  1. Heat the smoker (or oven) to 425 degrees.

  2. Coat the chicken with olive oil, spices, salt and pepper.

  3. Cook for 45 minutes until the internal temp is 160 degrees.

  4. Rest for 15 minutes before serving.

  5. Serve with Schug, warm pita and any other condiments you love.
