Smashed Potatoes and Apple
Adding an apple is a delicious twist on mashed potatoes.
Ingredients
6 yukon gold potatoes, peeled and quatered
1 large apple, peeled, cored and quartered
4 tablespoons butter
1 cup cream
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
Add the potatoes and apple to a large pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook for about 15 minutes until tender.
Drain the tender potatoes and apples and add the butter, cream, salt and pepper. Mash with a potato masher to the desired consistency.
Takes 20 minutes
