Blackened Salmon
This is my favorite salmon variation. The spicy, smoky spice blend forms a great crusty and the skin is nice and crispy. The best part? It is ready in under 15 minutes!
Ingredients
1 pound salmon fillet
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon cayenne
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 lemon, zested and juiced
2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
Mix paprika, cayenne, salt and thyme together and coat the flesh side of the salmon
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat then add the salmon flesh side down.
Cook for 5 minutes, then flip and cook skin side down for until 5 to 6 minutes until cooked through.
Top with lemon zest and juice.
Note: I love to serve this with buttered spaghetti.
