Orecchiette with Bacon and Peas

This is a fast delicious dish that only has a few ingredients - bacon, peas, cream, cheese and pasta.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon, chopped

  • 1 1/2 cup frozen peas

  • 2 cups cream

  • 1/2 cup parmesan, grated

  • 1 pound orecchiette

  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the orecchiette to al dente.

  2. While the pasta cooks make the sauce. Heat a large saute pan to medium and add the chopped bacon. Cook until crisp, remove and set aside. Add the cream and cheese and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes. Add the peas and return the bacon. Once the pasta is cooked add 1/4 cup of the pasta water and toss the pasta with the sauce.

Takes 15 minutes
