10 Minute Fettuccine Alfredo

This is hardly a recipe. Hot pasta with lots of butter and cheese makes the most delicious sauce. My family loves some sautéd kielbasa added in, but I love it perfectly plain.

Ingredients

  • 1 9 ounce package fresh fettuccine

  • 1 stick butter, diced

  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated

  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccini until tender, 2-3 minutes. Drain and reserve about 1/4 cup of pasta water.

  2. Place hot pasta in a bowl, add the butter, parmesan cheese and toss until butter and cheese have melted. Add the pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
