Salt and Pepper Pork

This recipe is a result of trying to make Melissa Clark’s Crispy Salt and Pepper Pork. I made it with the wrong cut of pork, the wrong seasoning, the wrong oil and the wrong garnishes - but it turned out so good that it is a family favorite. I love that it comes together in 15 minutes (and it amazing for leftovers).

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pork tenderloin

  • 1 tablespoons ground pepper

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

  • 1 jalapeño, thinly sliced

  • 1 lime

  • 1 tablespoons canola oil

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Cut pork into bit sized pieces and toss with salt and pepper. Let sit for 5-10 minutes.

  2. Heat oils in skillet on high heat. Add the pork and cook 3-4 minutes per side until just cooked through (should be slightly pink).

  3. Serve with cilantro, jalapeño slices and lime with rice on the side.
