Garlic Sesame Shrimp

This is a super fast and flavorful shrimp and noodle dish with tones of garlic, a touch of sichuan, and sesame.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound peel and deveined shrimp

  • 4 tablespoons butter

  • 6 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon sichuan pepper corns, crushed

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons Mirin

  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 1 pound noodles (soba or ramen)

  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Bring a large salted pot of water to a boil and cook the noodles to al dente.

  2. Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the garlic and sichuan and cook for 2 minutes. Add the shrimp and cook for about a minute per side. Add the soy sauce, mirin, fish sauce and sesame oil. Cook for 1 minute.

  3. Add a splash of pasta water then toss the shrimp and sauce with the noodles. Top with sesame seeds.

Takes 20 minutes
