Simple Chicken Parm

This is a family favorite that is referred to as Pizza Chicken. Crispy chicken cutlets topped with marinara, parmesan and mozzarella - so good!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 cup flour

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup Panko bread crumbs

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 1 cup Simple Tomato Sauce, or store bought marinara

  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

  • 1 cup mozzarella, shredded

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Pound the chicken breasts until they are about 1/4 inch thick.

  3. Heat oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium heat.

  4. In separate shallow bowls add the flour, eggs with a splash of water, and bread crumbs.

  5. Coat the chicken in flour, then egg, then bread crumbs. Add to the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown.

  6. Top the chicken with marinara, parmesan, and mozzarella. Bake for about 5 minutes until the cheese is gooey.

Takes 20 minutes
