Buttermilk Chicken Tenders
These are the most delicious chicken tenders that are really easy to make and served with a delicious homemade ranch.
Ingredients
2 pounds chicken tenderloins
1 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
2 teaspoons paprika
1 1/4 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3 cups peanut oil
Instructions
Mix 3/4 cup buttermilk, garlic salt, and paprika together. Add the chicken tenders and marinate for 2 hours or up to overnight.
Add the oil to a deep heavy sided pan and heat over medium high heat until the oil reaches a temp of 350 degrees
In a large bowl mix the flour, remaining buttermilk, paking powder, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Remove the chicken from the marinade and coat with the flour mixture.
Add about 5 tenders to the hot oil and cook for a few minutes per side until golden brown. Set on paper towels or a rack to drain and repeat with the remaining tenders.
Serve with homemade ranch dressing.
Takes 20 minutes (plus 2 hours marinade)
