Beer Can Chicken

This is one of the tastiest ways to eat a chicken. Coated in a rosemary and lemon and cooked standing over a beer can. Yum!

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken

  • 1 tablespoon rosemary, chopped

  • Zest of 1 lemon

  • 1 tablespoon salt

  • 2 teaspoons pepper

  • 1 can of beer

Instructions

  1. Heat the grill to 400 degrees.

  2. Mix the rosemary, lemon zest, salt and pepper together and coat all over the chicken, including under the skin.

  3. Empty half of the beer (in your mouth), place on a sheet pan, then place the chicken over the beer can so it rests in the cavity.

  4. Grill for 1 hour until cooked to an internal temp of 160 degrees. Rest for 10 minutes before removing the beer can (carefully) and slicing.
