Beer Brats

These are a treat! Brats and onions simmered in beer, then grilled until they’re crisp, snuggled in a toasted bun and topped with onions, kraut, and mustard.

Ingredients

  • 6 brats

  • 6 buns

  • 4 cans of beer

  • 1 onion, sliced

  • Sour kraut

  • Whole grain mustard

Instructions

  1. Add the beer to a pot with the sliced onions and brats. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 20 minutes.

  2. Heat grill to high.

  3. Remove the brats from the beer and grill for about 5 minutes per side until crisp.

  4. Serve with toasted buns, beer onions, sour kraut and mustard.

Takes 30 minutes
